Apprehension from embarking on such a trip is natural. It’s not fear, it’s a variety of things that play on one’s mind about any future potential problems. The imagination is a complex thing and what one may perceive as a small issue can be multiplied in others minds. We are all excited about our trip…but will miss our families….that again is normal….but the life experiences gained on this trip will enrich our lives forever.
Anyway, it’s Christmas day and I need to ‘crack on’ with my family responsibilities!

All good so far. Hopefully we have already adjusted to the time change. Leaving in train tomorrow evening. Our bikes are still in bags, we are resisting the urge to put them together as we have had a few beers! Have a great Xmas get together! Matt
